Newport Beach

August 10th, 2008

And here’s one more post with pictures from our time on the beach.

This is Blake buried in the sand with cousin Ashley. She is just 3 weeks younger than Blake, his closest cousin in age. (Blake did not like being buried, he broke out of the sand right after this picture was taken)

Clark was a little timid with the water the first day, but he gradually warmed up to it and didn’t mind when the waves crashed over his feet.

Blake sometimes would catch a big wave and run quickly back up the beach.

Dan and I both got sunburned pretty bad our first day, so we left the kids’ shirts on some days to protect their skin. Unfortunately a wet t-shirt can be pretty cold. Clark refuses to wear a t-shirt to our pool now, even though I let him take it off to swim.

Our family building sand castles.

All 14 grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa.

Blake with Sterling and Nicholas - his 2 best buddies.

Clark latched onto cousin Lauren (10) because she was so friendly with him. He still is asking me to call her on the phone and wants to play with her.

After pictures the kids eventually all got their nice clothes drenched in the water.

This was the best picture of our family, even though Clark is refusing to smile.

Well, do they look like father and son?

    Dan and Katie -

It looks like you had a great trip! Matt and I enjoyed looking at all the cute pictures. We were noticing that Blake doesn’t look like a toddler anymore! He now just looks like a kid! It’s crazy how big both of the boys are getting! We’re glad you post everything up so that we can keep in touch and see what you are up to.
