My update with three pictures

Hello Family,
I wanted to try this out, and think that it will be fun to keep
in touch. I have attached a photo which I will explain more about.
Well, I am planning on graduating in December. Everything is
looking really good, except I have a chemistry class which I am taking
over as I did very poorly while in the nursing program (failed it).
Well, I am heading in that same direction and hope to pull it up
quickly in the next few weeks. It should work out.
After graduation I will plan to continue working full time at
Heritage Schools, a treatment center for teens, where I am really
enjoying my work. You can see how happy I am while at work in the
picture with me giving thumbs up. I have been there for a year and
six months and
will have 2 years by April. I will also be working on my preparations
to take the GRE and be looking about where to go for Grad School. I
will take the following school year off, to basically decide on
schools, take a break, and really find out what I want to do. I might
also go on a trip back to Brazil. It will be nice to just have a
little break from school.
Well, it’s not all work/school and no play. I bought a
motorcycle a little while ago, and really enjoy riding. I bought it
at the end of August and just love it. It’s a Honda Shadow 750 1983.
I have already had the misfortune of laying it down, which sounds so
gentle compared to the actual experience. I only scraped up my left
arm, which is what the picture is showing. I had stitches and am
still taking care of it as it heals. It was my roommate John, who is
one of the pictures, and my brother Matt who convinced me to go to the
ER to get it looked at. It was good that I did, as I got stitches and
they cleaned it out a lot. That was really nice of them, because we
all got in at 4am. I have put the bike away for the
winter, but plan to fix it up and be back riding in the spring. I
have a little more respect for it and will be more careful, especially
while going riding……….down a curvy mountain road….. at
night….. 11:30 to be exact……. going about 40-50…. and putting
on my rear brake way too much. Yeah, I have learned a couple of
lessons from that experience.
Well, though I don’t want to make it bigger than it was, I
wanted to share a positive experience. I went out with a very fun
girl. We met at work about 4 months ago, and we went to see the
Forgotten Carols. It was a really great show. Matt and Lindsay came
along and that was fun too. We all got to sit together and for buying
the tickets as late as we did, they weren’t really that bad. I had a
really fun time learning about her and getting to know her better.
She has long blond hair, and is a little shorter than me, up to my
eyes or so. She is 7th in a family of 10. All of her siblings are
married and she has 16 or 17 nieces/nephews I believe. She is a lot
of fun to talk with and makes me laugh. She served a mission in
Brazil, so we can even talk in Portuguese together. Well, I hope to
add more to this story, with future date experiences. Maybe I sneak a
picture of her on my cell phone. That’s right, I also have a cell
phone.
I hope that everyone is doing well. I would love to hear from
you and I hope that everyone is doing well. Thanks Dan for putting
this together.
with love,
Jonathan
